Tilburg to become the hub for services in Europe
(Essen, 10 October 2013) In Tilburg in the Netherlands, a DB Schenker logistics center is being set up specifically to serve the needs of customers in the healthcare sector. Located at the Katsbogten industrial estate, the facility is designed to become the hub for services in Europe and is scheduled to go into operation in November. It is the fourth DB Schenker logistics facility at the Tilburg location.
“The logistics market for the healthcare sector is developing at tremendous speed,” says Leon Janssen, CEO of DB Schenker Logistics in the Netherlands. “We chose this location in view of its central strategic location and because of the many years of expertise in contract logistics available right here in Tilburg. We will provide end-to-end supply chains for the healthcare sector from this hub, and with over 20 years’ experience in this challenging field, we can offer our customers the guarantee of a reliable organization for their logistics operations.”
The 11,500 square meter facility complies with all the latest safety, quality and environmental protection specifications for healthcare products, in line with the current Goods Distribution Practices (GDP). The preparation of products for shipment and storage in accordance with the customer’s specific requirements can also be carried out in special zones.
