Technology regulates interaction between vehicle, track and overhead line

The area of contact between wheel and rail is the size of a two pound coin. Track engineering is just as much about ensuring there is contact between vehicle and catenary at 15,000 volts as about making wheel-on-rail contact work even at 300 km/h.

Vehicle technology

Consultancy and testing for rolling stock technology

The functioning of any railway vehicle and its component parts is ensured by a plethora of applications: running gear, couplers and brakes as well as doors, air conditioning and light are all controlled with the aid of software.
