Milestones in locomotive development and coaches used by dignitaries
![]() |
The locomotive shed of the DB Museum in Koblenz-Lützel was once part of the Koblenz-Lützel depot, and was used until 1995 for the repair of freight wagons. Today, there are heritage electric locomotives, passenger coaches and saloon coaches on display here.
In addition to the vehicles in the locomotive shed, the DB Museum in Koblenz also includes a museum shop and a museum room with exhibitions and a model railway.
The museum and the vehicles are looked after by the “BSW Voluntary Group for the Preservation of Heritage Rail Vehicles Koblenz”. Detailed information is available on the BSW Group’s website (in German only). The locomotive shed in Koblenz-Lützel can be hired for events.
