skip: Since 2001, the DB Museum has run museums at locations outside NurembergIn 2001, the first new museum location was opened in Koblenz-Lützel. The opening of the next DB Museum location in Halle/Saale followed in 2003. The two locations have a total of around 50 heritage vehicles on display.
The new DB Museum locations in Koblenz and Halle/Saale are run with the support of voluntary groups of the Railway Staff Social Services (BSW). Members of the BSW groups look after the vehicles and buildings on a voluntary basis. As a result of this support, the DB Museum has been able to make more heritage vehicle accessible to visitors.
