Infrastruktur

Wir betreiben ein 33.400 Kilometer langes Netz mit 5.400 Bahnhöfen, die täglich von 450 Bahnunternehmen und 50.000 Zügen genutzt werden.

Personenverkehr

Täglich sind mehr als fünf Millionen Menschen mit der Deutschen Bahn unterwegs – in ICE- und Intercity-Zügen, im Regional-Express oder in Regional- und S-Bahnen.

Güterverkehr

DB Cargo ersetzt jeden Tag klimafreundlich rund 80.000 Lkw-Fahrten in ganz Europa.

Die Deutsche Bahn startet neu.

Wir machen unsere Strukturen schlanker und leistungsfähiger. Wir stärken die Macher vor Ort, die dafür sorgen, dass Züge fahren und Menschen ankommen. Erste Veränderungen sind spürbar – im Betrieb, am Bahnhof und im Zug.Nicht alles wird gleich perfekt sein. Der konsequente Weg zählt. „Neu startet heute“ steht dafür. Wir bauen eine bessere Bahn. Jeden Tag.Die Sanierung braucht Zeit. Deshalb setzen wir drei Sofortprogramme um – für mehr Sicherheit und Sauberkeit an Bahnhöfen, mehr Komfort im Fernverkehr und eine bessere Kundenkommunikation.

Mit noch saubereren Zügen und einer verlässlicheren Bordgastronomie macht die DB Zugreisen für Fahrgäste spürbar angenehmer und attraktiver. Dafür investiert der Fernverkehr der DB im Jahr 2026 zusätzlich rund 20 Millionen Euro.

Für unsere Fahrgäste und Besucher:innen erhöht die DB die Sicherheit und verbessert die Sauberkeit an Top-Bahnhöfen sowie an Bahnhöfen in der Fläche. Außerdem gestaltet die DB mehr Stationen zu Zukunftsbahnhöfen um.

Die DB informiert Kund:innen vor und während ihrer Reise zukünftig noch besser – sowohl im Zug, am Bahnhof als auch auf den digitalen Auskunftskanälen.

Deutsche Bahn: Stabilitätsanker in unsicheren Zeiten

Mobilität ist Teil der Daseinsvorsorge, eine Grundvoraussetzung für gesellschaftliche Teilhabe und wirtschaftliche Stärke. Das ist jetzt – in der aktuellen Energiekrise mit anhaltend hohen Sprit- und Kerosinpreisen und der damit verbundenen Unsicherheit – unsere Kernaufgabe als Bahn: Wir sind für das Land da. Stabilität und Sicherheit werden zu zentralen Erfolgsfaktoren. Genau dafür steht die Deutsche Bahn.

Railway’s future is being discussed in Berlin

In cooperation with renowned partners from the railway industry and beyond the 5th RAILWAY FORUM Berlin 2017 – Europe’s biggest rail supplier conference in 2017 – with Deutsche Bahn AG as Competence Partner will take place at on August 30 and 31, 2017.

The railway industry is changing. Increasing global competition between train and component manufacturers, competition between train operators in Germany and Europe as well as intermodal competition with other, partly new modes of transport (electric cars, long distance buses) request railway’s value system to transform and innovate. The changes force the industry to exchange information and ideas to take action.

Railway’s challenges and further topics will be discussed at the 5th RAILWAY FORUM on August 30 and 31, 2017 in Berlin. Patrons and idea generators of the conference are Uwe Günther, CPO, Deutsche Bahn AG und Kay Euler, CTO & CQO, Deutsche Bahn AG. At the RAILWAY FORUM Berlin more than 700 deciders from the railway industry meet to discuss future trends, strategic insights and industrial solutions.

In response to the stated challenges, four strategic railway industry objectives that both operators and industry want to achieve frame the conference. They are: a) competitive, b) international, c) digital and d) automated. The conference will focus on these strategic objectives which will guide all speeches and workshops on both days.

Next to the conference, there will be an enlarged exhibition divided into 6 different areas: a) Vehicle Technology, b) Maintenance & Production Plants, c) Rail Infrastructure & Construction, d) Vehicle Interiors & Services, e) Systems and IT Solutions and f) Other Services. In all these areas, the participants are looking for innovative solutions that will take the railway system into the future.
