Preparations for the UEFA European Football Championship are underway. As a national partner of UEFA EURO 2024™, Deutsche Bahn (DB) is committed to offering environmentally friendly transport for this major event. Special offers are available to football fans with tickets for the matches. These are on sale now and enable travel to and from the stadiums in the ten host cities in Germany.
- The DB Ticket EURO 2024 lets match ticket holders travel directly to and from the stadium at a special price of just EUR 29.90 each way within Germany. The tickets are train-specific and subject to availability. They are on sale now at bahn.de/db-fussball-ticket.
- The Interrail Pass EURO 2024 is the ideal ticket for football fans from other European countries. This new special offer is available now with a 25% discount and lets match ticket holders travel to and from Germany from 32 countries. Best of all, customers can choose between a set number of travel days on which the pass is not only valid for travel to and from the destination, but also for unlimited travel within Germany. Dr. Michael Peterson, Member of the Management Board for Long Distance Passenger Transport at DB, said: "Sustainable mobility is an integral part of UEFA EURO 2024™. Our partnership includes attractive ticket offers for football fans from Germany and all over Europe. We will deploy the largest ICE fleet ever during this summer of football, with over 400 trains."
As part of its Strong Rail strategy, DB set the course for its fleet expansion well in advance. This means that DB can deploy longer ICE trains during the tournament and offer trains on additional operating days. Another 14 special EURO 2024 trains will run daily. In total, DB will offer around 10,000 extra seats on each match day. Additional special trains will be organized at short notice in the knockout phase.
